Dear Valued Patient,
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW?

STEP 1
Please get an Official letter from the Consultant – (explaining the patient condition/ diagnosis, Inpatient/ Outpatient, the procedure done, treatment plan/duration to stay in MY, and patient condition (fit/unfit) -Printed on UMSC letterhead at least 2 weeks before Visa expiry date

STEP 2
Meet or contact Corporate Affairs Personnel at 03-7841 111 / [email protected]  for further action/document checking/date to Immigration/to apply supporting letter from MHTC

STEP 3
Pay Visa Extension Handling Fee (UMSC)

  • RM200 for patients (first-time visa extension)
  • RM400 for per companion (first-time visa extension)

Note: Subsequent visit to immigration office – RM400 per person

STEP 4
Please get all the related documents ready.

STEP 5Meet UMSC personnel at Immigration Office on the proposed date

DOCUMENTS TO BRING TO IMMIGRATION
  • Official supporting letter from MHTC (Malaysia Health Tourism Councils) 
  • Passport copy – front page (full version of the front page) – coloured copy
  • Visa / Passport page with the entry and expiry stamped – coloured copy
  • Doctor’s Letter (Briefly explain the patient background and patient’s health condition in chronological order. Kindly stated initial consultation, diagnosis (inpatient/outpatient), treatment/procedure done, treatment plan (forecast duration to stay in MY), and patient condition (fit/unfit) – Printed on UMSC letterhead
  • Treatment schedule/appointment date that has been set-up with the doctor
  • Treatment bill / receipt 
  • Application letter from Immigration
  • Proof of relationship – for companion 
POINTS TO NOTE
  • UMSC Visa Extension Handling Fee – RM200 (Patient – first time visa extension), RM400 (Companion – first time visa extension). For subsequent visit to immigration office, it is required for patient or companion to pay RM400.
