The Department of Biomedical Imaging University of Malaya is one of the country’s first imaging department with 50 years experiences of advancing the field of Radiology and delivering quality healthcare. Today, we are one of the largest Imaging Department in Malaysia covering many sub-specialities. Our faculty consists of extensively trained, experienced Radiologists who are leaders in their fields both nationally and internationally.

We have one of the largest number of comprehensive and advanced diagnostic imaging modalities available in a single institution in the country. The imaging modalities available include plain radiography, fluoroscopy, breast tomosynthesis, ultrasound, 3T-MRI, Multi slice CT, PET-CT and SPECT-CT. Our department also offers numerous state of the art image guided interventional procedures including radiofrequency ablation (RFA) for tumors, endovascular treatment of aneurysms, MRI guided High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) and transarterial chemo-embolisation (TACE)
