Dr Marniza Saad is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at the University Malaya Medical Centre and University Malaya Specialist Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She graduated from University of Wales College of Medicine, Cardiff, United Kingdom in 1997 with Bachelor of Medicine. Upon completion of her specialist training in clinical oncology from 2002 to 2006 at the Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff, UK, she was awarded the Fellowship of Royal College of Radiologists (Clinical Oncology) from Royal College of Radiologists, London, in May 2006. Being a supervisor and coordinator for Master of Clinical Oncology programme at the Faculty of Medicine, University Malaya Medical Centre, she is actively involved in the teaching and training of the future clinical oncologists. She was inducted as a Member of College of Radiology, Academy of Medicine, Malaysia in 2009. She is a member of Malaysian Oncological Society, Academy of Medicine Malaysia and European Society for Medical Oncology. Her areas of special interest include genitourinary cancer, sarcoma, breast and gastrointestinal cancers. She is principle investigator for several international clinical trials mainly in prostate and renal cancers. She speaks in her areas of interest in both local and international scientific conferences.
