Fertility Clinic

Fertility Clinic at UMSC

At the Fertility Clinic at UMSC, we recognise that the journey to parenthood is deeply personal and medically complex. Located within Malaysia’s premier quaternary university hospital, our clinic offers professor-led, evidence-based fertility care delivered within a trusted academic healthcare ecosystem.

An Academic, Evidence-Based Approach to Fertility

Infertility is a recognised medical condition affecting both men and women. It is defined as the inability to conceive after 12 months of regular, unprotected intercourse, or the inability to carry a pregnancy to term. Causes are diverse and may include hormonal disorders, structural abnormalities, age-related factors, genetic influences, and lifestyle-related conditions

At UMSC, fertility assessment and treatment are grounded in scientific evidence, structured evaluation, and personalised clinical decision-making. This ensures that each couple receives care that is appropriate, ethical, and aligned with best medical practice.

Integrated Seamless Care

  • Access to established reproductive medicine facilities and procedural suites
  • Advanced laboratory and embryology support within the university environment
  • Standardised clinical protocols

Evidence-Based Treatment Pathways

UMSC Fertility Clinic offers scientifically established fertility treatments, including Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) and In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF), selected based on clinical indication rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

  • IUI is typically recommended for selected cases such as mild male factor infertility, ovulatory disorders, or unexplained infertility and is performed as a minimally invasive outpatient procedure.
  • IVF is indicated for more complex fertility conditions, including tubal disease, severe male factor infertility, failed IUI cycles, or advanced maternal age, with fertilisation occurring in a controlled laboratory environment

All treatment pathways are overseen by senior clinicians and professors, ensuring adherence to current evidence and ethical practice.
