Graduated in 2006 with a MBBS from University of Malaya, she then returned to her alma mater and successfully completed her Masters in Orthopaedic Surgery in 2016. Her passion for Hand and Microsurgery motivated her to train in Upper Limb and Reconstructive Microsurgery Unit under the flagship of Prof Dato Dr Tunku Sara Tunku Ahmad Yahaya.
Her subspecialties are in hand and microsurgery including nerve decompression (carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel release), tendon repair and reconstruction, fracture fixation (hand and wrist), peripheral nerve and brachial plexus surgery, excision biopsy of hand tumour, trigger finger release, deformity correction in congenital hand/ upper limb and creation of arteriovenous fistula.
Apart from being busy with her clinical responsibilities, she is a clinical lecturer, an examiner and a researcher who trains the undergraduates and Masters students in Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya. She is a life member in Malaysian Orthopaedic Association (MOA) and Malaysian Society for Surgery of the Hand (MSSH).
